Here at CD's Computer Services, reformatting a computer is by far the most popular service I perform, but be aware that this procedure erases everything on your computer, so if your PC will still run, anything you want to keep, save to the appropriate media, I can do this, but their is an additional fee. Computers slow down with time, installing software, deleting software, downloading, virus, spyware, the list goes on and on, eventually all computers slow to a crawl from this onslaught, this process will restore your computer to its original state. First thing I do with all computers I work on is to completely clean them inside and out, dirt buildup in a computer can cause overheating, lockups and other problems that can look like their software related. Next I run a diagnostic test on your computers hardware to make sure its not causing any of the problems. Now its time to reinstall the operating system ("Windows", yes Bill Gates still has this market cornered) During this process all information contained in your computer is erased, gone forever, well almost but that's a different subject. Once the installation is completed I will make sure all your hardware is working properly, and install all windows critical updates along with Microsoft Security Essentials. That's about it, your up and running like new. Remember: When you bring your computer to me, NO CABLES, I have everything I need to run your PC and of coarse I'll forget to give it back:-). There is one exception to that, if your bringing me a laptop I need the power cord. Next I'll need all the CD's, and floppy's that came with your computer when you bought it, or at least what you can find. Finally your copy of Windows came with a serial number, its usually on the case or on the installation CD, I need this to install your legal copy of Windows. Pricing : Desktop: $60.00 Laptop: $65.00
